He signed ABA Light Welter Weight Champion Ronnie Heffron. He is the same weight, from Manchester, and had a big support with him.

He stuck out in the ABA finals as 1 to look out for. I would not be surprised if he becomes bigger than the 3 Olympians

Col this lad looks really impressive. Watched him win the ABA's and no-one had a single thing on him. ABA ****ed up big time by not not picking him for Euro's. Bradley Saunders wouldn't fight him either in en eliminator (Why hasn't he gone pro).
Anyways I watched him training with Arnie a few months back and the lad can bang too. won the ABA final with a stoppage too.

Let it go Betty, Hattons nearly done. This is the perfect time to move on (and not to poor old Ronnie).

Well we all know he is. As for Hatton, only time will tell.

Never going to happen, I honestly think poor old Batty will slit his wrists when Hatton's gone, the emotional void in his life will be too big to fill!

In what way is he irreplaceable? :huh

I don't understand this because he's been anything but exciting in the last few years.

I disagree, but in any case I don't think Jeff was talking about solely as a fighter, but the whole Hatton experience. Can you imagine any other British fighter of the next few years taking tens of thousands of fans halfway across the world to take over a U.S. venue and sing his name all night during matchups with elite p4p fighters? "Walking in a Mitchell/Froch/DeGale wonderland"... doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Plus the stand up comedy gigs, **** shirt contests at the local, darts matches with his opponents etc... the whole thing is just unique.
