I see your point, and in fairness I should have been more precise in what I was saying seeing how it has come across. I think style-wise, Barry is all wrong for Quigg. Constant movement, great defensive skills, switch-hitter... I really feel that Quigg is just another hype-job, I really do. Besides, Barry isn't where Quigg is in terms of who they're facing. But someone like that WOULD be a title defines for Scott knowing Eddie.
wasnt biggest fan of galahad a thought at time dickens would beat him but must admit startin to grow on me abit stepping it up bit by bit hes goood to watch a bit vulnerable as well hope get 3 guys all fighting each other could be really good fights imo still hav frampton 1 quigg 2 kg 3 but alot closer than ppl think dont think any are mismatches
Galahad is a very tidy fighter. Slips and parries well, smart, composed and good variety. Could beat Quigg but Frampton would be too much for him
That body shot feint which led up to the first knock down was sheer class. I hope he fights someone in the top ten soon. Hennessey card on the December 6th looks likely, I hope we see Hughie Fury on it.
They sparred together at Brian Hughes' gym 5 years ago. It's no surprise that Quigg turned down Hennessy's offer.
People tend to make a bit too much of KGs "lack of power". You would swear no boxer ever became successful without a big punch. Of course Quigg and Frampton hit harder, but he does have other qualities they don't have too. His unconventional style relying on speed and reflexes is a far bigger worry than any lack of power I feel. Let's wait and see what happens when he steps up.
remember we could have been watching this match-up last night, but quigg decided against. galahad's movement, volume and accuracy (combinations off 1 hand from either stance) would trouble anybody. he seems to lack pop and his chin hasn't been properly tested, but with his fast feet it may be a while before it is! we're due some good fights at super bantam unless "fans" continue to accept bull**** excuses. my favourite boxer to watch right now.
Indeed. Furthermore...even if he is " caught clean", surely his speed and slipperiness gives him a better than average chance of dodging any follow-up ...and surviving a sticky moment in a fight, no? Unless he is hit by a hellacious bomb altogether which renders him totally helpless he should come through.
Quigg beats Galahad and he does it easily. Different leagues my friend. Contrary to the OPs claim, Quigg is actually underrated. Just like Brook was.
