Tony Galento doesn't last long against Holyfield, and frankly I don't think he fronts the same performance against him that Cooper did.. Bert was in spectacular shape for that fight - something that Tony never was in his life. Evander also went into that fight knowing that Cooper was a last minute replacement, when for several months he had been anticipating a meeting with Mike Tyson instead, so his guard was probably down. Galento gets demolished.

holyfield has an incredible amount of energy and even today if someone wants to brawl with him they had better watch out holyfield takes a back seat to no one when it comes to battles that lead up to all out wars look:yep

I think early 90s Evander is going to get rocked badly a few times and maybe even dropped, but he's a great determiend fighter that wont allow himself to get finished. He'll have success when he wants to box and he has the accuracy to punish Galento when he lets his hands go. I think Galento takes a beating for many rounds without going down and quits at some point, blaming an injury from a pre-fight brawl or something like that.

Sir Bert Cooper was a superior fighter to Holyfiled....he was just past prime when Evander finally faced him.

Funny, Evander made a career of Cooper left overs..Mercer, Bowe, OLD Foreman..etc. Except Tyson who feared the Cooper Family Hook and shamelessly ducked him to face James Tokyo Douglas.

If Sir Bert Cooper had been fighting during Joe Louis's era, he surely would have reigned for about 15 years and had some 40 title defenses, all by knockout... The only ATG who rivals his abilities, was my main man Chuck Wepner... Had the two of them met in their primes, it would have made the FOTC look like a pillow fight between sorority sisters.

Galento would "moider da bum" No,in all seriousness,Two Ton Tony would get convincingly outboxed, and stopped by Holyfield before the best part of the bout was over.

Bert Cooper was superior to Holyfield.

Just as he was superior to Sugar Ray Robinson and Harry Greb.

P4P Robinson and Greb were probably a smudge better, but if they got in the ring with Cooper they would be squashed.

Oh wow, she can use caplocks. Give her a hand...:happy

Has two fighters ever ruined so many...

    Bowe
    Holyfield
    Liston
    Ali
    Foreman

...etc. How many greats were cut short in their primes? You know Foreman faced pre-prime versions of both men....he's lucky to be alive
