Whether or not Gamboa turns out to be a great, the point is that at this point, he is far more potential than actuality. Jimenez got the knock down. Jimenez had been out of the ring over a year, and it definitely showed. Still Gamboa won the fight and took care of Seeger with ease. And he has already fought and beaten some lower tiered pros. If he beat Linares than the actuality meter would go up significantly. But right now, he is Pacquiao pre Sasakul and post Chockvivat, and there might be a Singsurat in his future....
Larios is more shot than Holyfield. and Diaz please.Linares and Valero need to step up his competiton until then we dont know for sure if theyre the real deal.

Get the **** out hee with that **** Larios is a mexican fighting for the WBC title waht a surprise.just the fact hes fighting for the title tell all you need to know about the WBC rankings and yes hes a shot fighter if you cant see that then you should apply for a work with the WBC. Diaz is a journeyman no more than that he got a gift against Guerrero and was koed in the rematch he also has five losses against weak competition. Linares is talented but until now he hasnt prove **** he needs to step is comp until than hes just a talented but unproven fighter. if you can get that than youre just a nutthugger.
And what on earth has Gamboa proven? They're BOTH untested at the elite level, so there's no reason to jump all over someone's ass for defending Linares unless you're planning on doing the same thing to those claiming Gamboa is the 2nd coming of Christ. Gamboa keeps his hands WAY too low, sooner or later he's going to get tagged.
Oh yeah, and about Larios. You mean to tell me a year before Linares fought him he's fit to fight Vazquez and Pacman but he's too shot to be a quality win for an up and comer like Linares? :huh

First of all Oscar Larios has had three fights with Israel Vazquez losing the first by ko then avenging that lost in thier second fight by stopage in the 12th round, he lost their third fight by getting dropped in the 1st then eventually stopped in the 3rd. He lost a disputed 12 round decision to undefeated WBC Super Bantamweight king Willie Jorrin, he went on to destroy still undefeated Champion Willie Jorrin by first round tko. Larrios defended his Title 13 times until his 3rd loss to Israel Vazquez and then later moved up in weight to fight Manny Pacquiao, Larios was decked twice but was still standing at the final bell to lose a 12 round decision. Oscar Larios is now scheduled to fight undefeated Takahiro Aoh for Linares's old belt. Gamaliel Diaz upset Robert Guerrero and is rated by Ring Magazine most avoided man in the Featherweight devision.
