exactly... linares has gone to hell and back with oscar larios and come out the victor

gamboa has beat johnnie edwards, al seeger, that guy from last night, and gone life and death with darling jimenez and eked out a decision

    come on now

Life and death with Darling Jimenez? :patsch

Did you even watch that fight? Jimenez got beaten to a pulp. He came in with perfectly formed braids and ended up looking like the back end of a goat.

Dude, Linares beat Oscar Larios all night long. Larios barely even touched Linares and was completely outclassed. The only one who went to hell was Larios, and he didn't come back until the ref stopped the fight.

Linares did what champions do to past prime former champs, which is beat them easily.

agreed, its a waste for a guy so talented to be injured and forced into inactivity this early in his career

not only that but the guys hes fought were cab drivers.for a guy that has been a pro for almost six years he shouldve already fought better competition.

well he just turned 23 and he's fought 2 decent fighters already.

    1. Gameliel Diaz who went neck and neck with Guerrero, and is now scheduled to fight Humberto Soto for the WBC Super Featherweight title..

    2. A past prime Oscar Larios who is scheduled to fight for a title in less than 2 weeks

Linares beat them both really easily.

We'll see how well Soto does against Diaz.

i guess our perception of the fight was different... i thought that was the first fight to really expose the gamboa myth to a certain extent

the 3 fighters that ohmer signed are all mirages... barthelmy was exposed already, odanier solis is a joke and gamboa has breathtaking skills no question about it, but he is being coddled and the first time he steps up his comp he will be beat soundly... not just against linares, against any legit comp... with his amateur background, he should be fighting against world class opponents at this point, not some "midwestern club fighter"... oscar had a belt at this point... for chrissake, DAVID the american dream REID had a world title at this point... leon spinks, etc

i guess this is more a rant about his promoter but boxing fans can only be fooled for so long with this bs

thats weak for a guy that has been a pro for six years and as talented as he is,he should be fighting in the US against better comp he would probably be a star by now.

the kid can fight but needs to leave Japan and step up is comp to reach the level his talent deserves.

linares is the real deal guys, he is only gonna get better and he would ktfo gamboa this fight is near perfect for him
he would catch him staright down the middle with a well timed right and use good jab with good reach and weather gamboa crazy attack
after he gets to rounds 6-7 he will move in and bang HARD to the bodey
    GAMBOA WILL BE KTFOED

hes what 22, 23? i'd reserve judgment on his promoters until i see clear evidence that he is being protected... putting him in against larios who has beaten israel vasquez that to me is a legitimate REAL TEST

    gamboa on the other hand...
