    On a serious note, I hope Garing Lane's doing well in his fight with obesity. I mean, if he's that fat while he was active, he needs to watch himself in retirement.

    Also on a serious note, I think Chagaev was genuinely a good deal past it for his fight with Wlad...and after Haye's non-effort, Chagaev still looks like Wlad's best scalp.

    Garing was a badass- Rarely did much conditioning outside that which boxing and sparring afforded him, and took any fight on any notice with any man.


    Definitely one of the heavyweight journeyman kings. And a dang nice guy with awesome taste in beer.

    IBHOF weekend and a trip to Florida in 2004, hehe.

    I saw his fight with Garcia live, told him so, and he bought me a brew and we shot the **** a bit. Good man. I admire his sort.

    You appreciate the right things in this game, my friend. Wish more fans were like ya: The sport would be doing so much better.

    So important to remember you don't have to be great to be a good fighter. Don't have to be awesome to be competent. And certainly dont need to be a champion, former or current, to be worthy of respect.

    I wish the Tuesday night mismatches USA network would've called Garing Lane more often rather than calling Everett "Big Dick" Martin to show up looking all slobbish and only there for a check.... Martin was cool / okay for his first few Tuesday night appearances, but his face got stale quickly..... WORD!

    How do you guys explain the absence of Orlin Norris Norris on YT ?
    Not just him , but Tucker-McCall , Tucker-Norris #2 , Norris-McCall , Douglas-McCall , Reggie Johnson-Antonio Tarver , Norris-Fergusson , Douglas-Fergusson , McCall-Fergusson , Rahman-Puritty , and some of Starling's and Brown's fights as well .

    I remember him getting knocked cold by Butterbean on a PPV card which I ordered back in the day, don't even remember what the main event was off hand...
