Look im no charlie church but crime against women i cant cop. I hope he gets jail time over this. I have done time(juvenile detention) and had close friends do time in Jail for less offences then bottling a female. It will be very interesting to see how the NRL act upon this incident.Dont forget they didnt hesitate in de-registering Bird's former Sharks teammate Tevita Latu for assault on a female. Quess only time will tell.
The lowlife deserves to go to jail for that, fancy glassing a woman let alone your missus. I don't think he'l get out of this one.
the reality is the poor girl will probably lose an eye and be left with some very nasty scars, all because some drunk ****wit from the shire had too many beers; **** him - i hope he gets a year or two in jail and is suspended from the nrl for life
and lets not forget he still has to defend himself after assaulting that woman in january, not looking good for him
Good to be back mate. Assault. back in 2002(i was 16) Had a blew with a guy which he started but i happened to cause him severe facial injurys. I got 6months/ plenty of fines and he got a new face and 38k in criminal compensation..So much for who threw the first punch etc. Didnt know Bird had another incident with a female in january?? The plot thickens.
I feel thats the only outcome. Mind you he will do 18months at most and come out to a 300k plus job somewhere in oz or europe.
