Because if he was not fighting tonight Hayemaker would have no one to put on their show.

  6. Hayemaker get there own show on Sky. Pretty sure Groves will earn more from this and getting 1000 in at the York Hall then he would on Hayes undercard.

Due to Groves fighting so close to the Haye/Harrison bout it was always going to be hard for Hayemaker Promotions to put on a decent undercard. Apart from Lindsay having a warm up fight agaisnt the Georgian, there are no names that stand out on the undercard. The problem with Sky's new Saturday fight night is that it looks like they are wanting two live fights every weekend, so if both fights go to points then there will be no time for highlights of the undercard fighters. (e.g. Webb/Arthur the other weekend) A good thing about the old friday fight night was that you always got to see a few decent undercard fights after the main one had finished. With the new format this is highly unlikely so it looks like some promoters will keep the undercard full of fighters not many people have heard of.
