I watched a documentary called 'Fight of their lives' last night about the Benn vs McClellan fight, sad to see. What is everyone's opinion on this fight, McClellan coach at the time reckons Nigel Benn was juiced (on steroids), what do you think? Also whats everyone's opinion to bring McClellan home from the hospital as quick as the family did?
Honestly I have no idea about the steroid part. Although getting out of the hospital quickly might be due to avoiding further bills. I don't think any longer stay would've helped though. G-Man was really ****ed up. One of the best fight of all times. No doubt.
McClellan's coach accused Benn of being juiced that night. McClellan corner should of thrown the towel in long before he took a knee. You could clearly see something serious was wrong him having his gum shield hanging out his mouth and the constant blinking.
Healthcare is FREE in the uk......He should of stayed longer.And no benn was not on steroids......Maybe coke...but not roids.
According to Steve Bunce radio show, he said McClellan was fine when leaving the hospital, well not fine but not as bad as he was when he reached USA and said he was starved of oxygen on the plane back to USA which caused more problems for the fighter.
It was when I think he was leaving hospital and a reporter asked him about McClellan he said something about it being terrible but rather him than me.
