I started working out 3 times a week 4 weeks ago, I've started to see slight benefits already but it's just the start.

I'm now 168 pounds, 15.1% body fat at 5'8 which is supposed to be pretty average. I was at 17% body fat a month ago.

I'm starting to take protein shakes twice a day now which will help with my protein intake and am keeping up the weights (around 40 mins) and 20 minutes cardio 3 times a week. I don't want to look like the hulk or anything, I'm hoping to gain 7-8 pounds over the next 6 weeks while going down to aroud 13% body fat. If I achieve that I will be more than happy with my effort.

Is this realistic? (bear in mind I also play football once a week and do crunches and leg lifts in the house also).

    Cheers :good

Of course it's realistic, throw in some running and you'll be good to go
