Brian Lara was a great cricketer but I don't think he'd beat GG in a boxing match.. even with the bat.

Going evasive is not laras best skill, but mixing it is to risk being ko. He wont stand and fight for most of the bout, so he wont be able to hope for more than draw Canelo style..and he doesnt possess Sauls mix and depth of ability to do that.

 

Angelina Jolie's Lara wins by submission, Alicia Vikander's Lara doesn't stand a chance in hell.

A fight I wish happened a few years ago.

Who knows? If Golovkin gets beaten by Canelo next up, this fight still appeals to me (although I would still fancy matches for Golovkin against the other elite handful at MW; Jacobs II, Saunders, Murata). Hopefully Lara doesn't fall into obscure matchmaking and not get the chances to retain the elite status he held for so long. I'm afraid that will be the case, though. Hurd already switched up lightning quick on wanting to give Lara a rematch.

 

Everyone wants GGG to fight everyone.

I think Golovkin would win in a fight that would somewhat resemble the Canelo vs Lara fight. Lara would out box Golovkin for a lot of it but Golovkin would be able to do well and spurts and steal enough rounds to win a decision.
