    Was anybody surprised by this?I don't want to downgrade Macklin,but he put in a great performance against Sturm in his best showing.Other than that,he hasn't beaten a world class fighter.This Golovkin has been underrated as much as Martinez was overrated IMO

    I was surprised by it tbh.

    Macklin isn't an elite fighter by any means, but he's game enough. Whilst I did expect GGG to win, I expected it to be a harder slog with a later stoppage. He steamrollered Macklin with ease. It's not so much the win that's impressed but the manner of it.

    Who beats GGG in the MW division? Martinez is getting old, then you've what Quillen, Chavez. GGG doesn't bring massive amounts to the table in terms of name/prestige/money, who is going to want to fight him?

    Agree with you about nobody wanting him.Do you think hell run out of opposition quickly at middleweight and have to move up,maybe fight Ward?For me theres more in the weight above.

    GGG is class but the way people are getting excited about him beating macklin is a joke... GGG needs to fight some proper world class operators before I truly start getting excited.
