Good to have him commentating again. He and Ian Darke are the best pairing in my opinion. All the best 90's fights were covered by them!
He was as blind as a bat until last year when his eyes were corrected through laser surgery. His blind commentary was still better than that on Boxnation
I didn't understand his scoring in the Tommy Smith fight. The other chap scored a knockdown in round 1 and McCory scored it 10-10. If he thinks Smith won the round clear without the KD it should be 10-9 to the other guy, or more fairly 10-8 to the other guy. 10-10? No
Can't stand Hallings matchroom bias. If both fighters land a flush jab then he only mentions the one landed by the matchroom fighter. Happened numerous times in the Smith/Rebrasse fight.
This happens all the time with Halling, anything the opponent does (and by opponent I mean non in-house/Brit fighter) he mostly ignores, on the contrary everything that an in-house/Brit does will get called and sometimes even things they didn't do, such as if their punch gets partially blocked the guy will pretend like they're landing. I've never seen a commentator as biased as this guy.
