Calzaghe was worse. In his whole career he never beat anyone who at the moment of their fight was a top level boxer. Hopkins did not lose to calzaghe he lost to the judges. If his whole career was garbage his career at 32 has to be even worse.

Make up your mind. First you say Chavez will exposed GGG and next you say GGG will beat Chavez.

Chavez is going to slice GGG's weak skin up and stop him on cuts

His opposition was poor until two years ago. The run from Proksa to Stevens was decent, and while Adama was a step down it remains to be seen who's next though having targeted Murray and Geale is encouraging. Even if Chavez does wind up being the next opponent in a sideshow act, it still makes for nothing but average-to-solid opposition after Fuchigami.

The first half of his title reign was abysmal, making him despite his talent lying dormant the very definition of a paper titlist based on resume. Milton Nunez for an interim belt that should never have existed (with Sturm being elevated in a stroke of alphabet nonsense), then defenses against Tapia, blown-up Ouma, Simon and Fuchigami? :barf Awful. Just awful. Bundrage or Senchenko level awful.

However, the second half-plus of his reign stands in night and day contrast. Does it read like the body of work of a great? No...but the run of Proksa, Ishida, Macklin, Stevens, Adama onward with Chavez and beyond assuming no dip in quality thereafter - obliterates his title record from 2010-2012.

I agree. The only mistake people make is assuming that the abysmal run was by choice. He was in a horrible promotional situation and also was way too high risk, way too low reward for anyone who's anyone's manager to say, "Hey, let's fight Golovkin."

Now he's got a better promoter and some ratings and money behind him, the "low reward" part of the equation has changed, and thus the competition has improved. The Chavez side-show is nothing more than a strategy to boost that reward side of the equation further, so that top MWs will be monetarily compelled enough to take a shot at him. Hopefully the money will reach a point that the fight makes sense for Sergio, but that remains to be seen.

The answer is yes. GGG has the worst resume for a 32 year old champ. Its clear his people and himself are just trying to ride out the hype before getting exposed.
