How do you think Golovkin would have done in the late 80s-early 90s MW division? Against the likes of:

    McCallum
    Toney
    Jones
    Hopkins
    Kalambay

    Could he hold his own?

    He'd lose against those fighters.

GGG loses to any highly rated black middleweight, according to ESB.

But on a serious note, Jones' jaw is abysmal. GGG would have no problem shattering it. Jones also fails the drug test.

It's impossible to know for sure what the outcome of those fights would be.

    why black?

all the guys on this list except perhaps Kalambay have proved themselves against current champions, Hofers, ATGs, at a younger age than 3G. 3G hasn't.

Why have you invented this issue and made it sound about race? explain why, cheers.

  8. He losses then and now. He is being protected by HBO and K2. As soon as you mention him up against a skilled Black fighter they have stipulations. They would rather him lose to anybody but a Black fighter it would ruin his image.

  9. See above. Image is everything and resumes are nothing or Kovalev would sell out arenas too.

Clean Toney, RJJ, Hopkins, McClellan, McCallum and Nunn would get flattened out by GGG. :nod

At this point all beat him. Until he proves himself against better comp as those fighters did you really cant objectively say he beats them. Jmo.

Odd critique considering McClellan beat one top 10 rated fighter his entire career and was about .500 in fights that went 6 rounds or longer.

Yeah I suppose it would be an odd critique if we were talking about McClellan and not McCallum. An honest mistake on your part Im sure.
