So? 3G can't fight a cash cow in a division before facing the real champ? Did Ward face Kov right off the bat at 175? Ward's team came with a fake offer AFTER 3G was signed to fight Lemmie. That type of tactic tells you how serious one is.
GGG is aware Kovalev can't take a punch and he will do his usual 'bulldozer' thing and KO Kovalev early.
Lol it’s hurts don’t it the thread asked about a fantasy matchup we know GGG won’t take because his record shows it he wouldn’t even move up Ward.. Funny thing when talking about Canelo, Ward and GGG is while one guy TALKED about he’ll fight anyone from 154 to 175 and never did it the other two guys ACTUALLY did move up..
Can you post a date range when this fight was most feasible? it certainly couldn't have occurred when Ward was out w/ shoulder injury and promoter issues being settled in court. So when? Was it when he returned from his time off and came back as a lt HVY with an HBO deal to fight Kov? Or was it when both were asked, and 3G said yes to War'd no? Or maybe when 3Gwas already contracted to fight Lemmie and Ward tossed a fake offer in after the fact?
There is an interview on YouTube with prime Kovalev admitting he hopes he never has to fight Gennady because he did spar him and was explaining how ridiculously tough GGG is. And this was prime Kov speaking.
Wards representative inquired about the fight before he moved up.. K2 said it wasn’t in the plans for GGG to fight Ward in the near future they were only focused on becoming undisputed at MW.. Abel Sanchez echoed this statement in multiple interviews when the narrative became well nobody knows who Ward is.. No point in playing games so Ward moves up to face the dominant champ at LHW.. All I’m saying is GGGs team did a lot of talking about fighting guys at 168-175 but never did.. Andre Ward moved up and faced Kovalev whom was on a more impressive run at 175 and Canelo moved up to his fourth weight class to fight the same guy.. the question of GGG vs Kovalev is null and void because GGG wouldn’t take that challenge..
Yeah, talking up themselves or whatever is a part of the game. I don't takes these boats too serious. So, when was it most feasible again? Time period of....
Golovkin doesnt have the upper body movement, defense, speed or countering abilities of Canelo. Kovalev wont have to give up his power for speed as he did vs Canelo and would open up his arsenal vs Golovkin and ko/tko him.
Yes because i know GGG was asked numerous of times will he go up and fight Ward, and he refused too. Abel is also on record saying they don't want to fight Ward.
