    Sergio doesn't hear the final bell. Golovkin knocks him out in less than 9.

    Not the point. I think for the most part Sergio is a guy that is universally liked by fans. Golovkin is the obvious heir apperant so why wait for the innevitable? It is the fight to be made at MW at this point

    HBO needs to force it. And its in their best interest to do so as well....

    thats who ggg should fight next. my got at mw is kid chocolate but i think either of those guys will stop sergio martinez. ggg might do it faster, kid chocolate tends to start late.

    Martinez would be up for it most likely.....Lou Dibella- not so much.

    Because Martinez is the lineal middleweight champion of the world? Its really that simple.

    This is boxing, if Martinez is going to continue to fight as champion, then he needs to defend his status against GGG.

    The better question is, why shouldn't the fight between the last king, and the heir apparent, happen. This is the natural order of boxing and is a passing of the torch fight.
