Seriously why is this guy still in the UFC? Surely he gets his marching orders now after loosing to Brendan Snob?

I wouldnt be supprized, I'd guess he was kept around because he normally garenteed an exciting match but he didnt even deliver that this time.

Its looking like the Crocop KO was the worst thing that ever happened to him, it has him convined he's a great kickboxer rather than a great BJJ fighter. When it actually did hit the ground he was close to a sub inside a couple of seconds.

Agreed. But Gonzaga just wilts mentally every time a fight doesn't go his way. Time for him to head to SF :D

  4. Been a fan of Gonzaga.
I really didn't know who would win as gonzaga has not got the best chin.
Gonzaga had a very bad performance dont know why he didnt go for the leg kick you could tell that they hurt brendan.
I see him fighting a low level opponent next.
He wont be cut because he normally does bring exciting fights i just think he afraid of mixing it up because he get koed in the end. hence carwin and dos santos

I think the ship has finally sailed with Gonzaga. For years id been saying he has the talent to compete for a Championship but he needs to make some training adjustments and mental adjustments. Every fight however it is the same thing every time the man throws a few leg kicks here and there and gets his ass kicked. Wouldnt dare use his ground game **** no that might be too hard. Cut this waste of talent.

They fed him Carwin and JDS in successive fights. That's gonna knock the confidence out of ,ost anyone. Once he started getting tagged in there with Schoob you could see his confidence wilt. He's still a monsta, they just need to rebuild his confidence and get him fighting more intelligently

Gonzaga should be an absolute monster when you look at his skills on paper. We've seen glimpses of his potential over the years, but he's basically become a heavyweight Jorge Gurgel.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut.

Have to agree that Gonzaga has talent..but it's all upstairs on him. A few years ago this fight last night wouldv'e been a step down fight for Gonzaga, but now he just dosn't use all his skills, and when was the last time he went to the ground and used his BJJ?

It seems like Gonzaga had carte blanche after his KO victory over past prime-crocop...

Couture & Werdum put him back to his place already...But he looks the part...big strong guy , hits like a truck...maye it's enough to stay in the ufc ?...

Gonzaga's an underachiever, imo. Seems like he has the tools to be better than what he turned out to be.

His ko losses appear to have changed him. Every since his ko losses to Carwin and Dos Santos he's really become gun shy and I don't think he's recovered mentally, who knows if he ever will.

    Why didn't he shoot? Why?

How in the hell does a black belt BJJ practitioner decide to stand up with a purple belt BJJ practioner with a Golden Gloves championship? WTF?
