Hi just an idea, please feel free to add your own or any GOOD ones you find. Please include what you observe them to promote. IE the video below is a conditioning drill I use from Ross Training. I think it works well as the burpee is an explosive full body movement and my CV system is going to be greatly challenged.

I do this for six rounds with a 30 second break in between- the workout could be made harder by making the exercise duration longer, doing more rounds, adding weights or hitting a punch bag or sparring in the punching intervals.

Please try the above workout and leave some positive feedback on the post.... I'll do a few more and if you can suggest any then I'll try them and put them on too- or you could post them up.

Good stuff Jeff, I'll try it out tomorrow or Tuesday.

With the shadowboxing are you looking for form or just get the punches out? Because that could make it easier/harder.

Thats up to you I suppose I was trying something different each round with the main thing trying to concentrate on volume of punches. Its not a great time to perfect technique when your fatigued from a burpee drill so i'd expect volume is your primary concern followed closely by form. Please give the vid a thumbs up on tube'

Tried it today, did 3x2 min rounds of it instead though.

I'll tell you what though it is a killer, the first set of burpees in every round aint bad its that last set, near kills you. Shadow boxing me and the other guy doing it was tottering round the ring like fannies. Our legs were gone like.

Superb stuff. Definitly want to see more.

Nice, will definitely use this. It's a good (but similar) variation on a lot of the stuff I do at the moment. It's good to have variety.

PS you look in great shape mate NO HOMO

    Thanks for that Brownbomber.

I am going to try it on Thursday. By the way I like the music that's playing as well.

    This is a good sticky.

    Thanks again.

    Now that's just basketball :hey
Have done a similar exercise with only a tennis ball and it took a few tries to be good with it.
Looking at the exercise it isn't as easy as it seems. Good for coordination, foot movement and im guessing shoulders as well ?

Will try the burpee/boxing combo tomorrow night. Don't know if I'll make all six rounds, but we'll see.

I modified the routine slightly. After three rounds (and the two 30 second breaks) I was at an even 10 minutes. I then took a 1 minute rest between rounds and did five more to make a 30 minute workout. My legs were rubber by the end and pretty sore today. I will do this again.

    Thanks.
