ive watched him train for his last fight. you could see he was ravaged by injuries and too many hard fights. He couldnt even do some excercises properly but he was still busting his ass. i feel very sad for him.
    A true aussie fighting legend.

It is always sad to see a boxer go out the way Bob did last night. He is a really nice guy so to finish like he did last night hurts us all. Alex is a great prospect. Would love to see him in against Shane Cameron. It would be a big fight either in Brisbane or NZ. I like Alex chances.

Yep,, it was a low point for me last night.
Bob & I have chatted a few times & he's such a straight shooting positive bloke who has the heart of Phar lap.

Who could ever forget his war with Roger Izonrite. The night "The Farken" was born,,,,,
& the All American prizefighter, Rob Calloway.
The latter was a night of awash with humilty but relentless courage. Unforgetable.

BOBBY!!. If you get in the ring again, I'm gunna fill every cavity in your ****en car with dead fish.

    Luv ya mate. Pops

Big Bob's been a great aussie icon in the boxing world. Fought the best, never ducked or dodged anyone in his career. I wish him all the best for a great retirement.

I thought he should have retired after Shane Cameron, his subsequent losses havent dampened my view of his career because with the benefit of old videos you can appreciate just how troubling he was to any heavyweight 5 or 6 years ago, I haven't seen the footage but i have heard that he was all over Danny Williams untill he got punched in the nuts by the brixton boofhead.
    Take it easy Big Bob

True champion bloke, I remember watching him putting his all in vs Valuev on the Green vs Beyer undercard, and then being ripped off by the German officials against Timo Hoffman on the undercard of the rematch - even the German crowd booed the decision!

    All the best Bob :good

Bob was always going to go a few fights too many rather than leave a single drop in the tank - long & great career big fella.
