I see that Graham Earl is down to fight in Milton Keynes on a show at the 'football club' on 13 March.

I thought he'd had a goodbye fight earlier this year (and a win on points) after consecutive first round losses but it looks like he's fighting on. Saw him in the corner at a show earlier this month and had hoped that he would be passing on his knowledge rather than putting on the gloves again.

He must have his reasons to continue, but it is sad to see...

I would have thought Earl would have made a few quid out of the game...

I'd heard that he had said that the last fight was his last (i.e. final) fight but he's down on boxrec for a 8x3 against TBC.

First he announced his retirement earlier in the year then came back and won a 4 or 6 rounder in Luton I think (I only remember cos 1st team promotions based round here promoted it) pretty sure it was the first time he'd fought in his hometown. He was if people remember down to fight Curtis Woodhouse recently in Hull but according to Boxing News (who'd mate it clear he should retire) he had a change of heart and did decide to retire, but now he's down to fight in Milton Keynes looks like he's changed his mind again.

It comes down to money, when someones spent there whole life pursuing one career when it's over your stuffed if you haven't made a lot.

    Cost of living sucks!!!

    :rofl

    Can you imagine...??

All jokes aside, I remember around this time last year when 99% of those who posted in a particular thread about Graham all said that he should retire.

I fear for his health. He took a lot of punishment against Katsidis and seemed to be slurring BEFORE the Khan fight. I hope he walks away sooner rather than later.

There is an article on another website where he claims that the Khan stoppage was premature, and that he feels motivated to return to boxing to claim Euro and world honours.

**** me..... I worry for his health already. The Khan fight was stopped to save him having his head taken from his shoulders, there was nothing dodgy about it at all!

He needs to retire. The guy is intelligent but looks half gone when he talks.
