Hagler vs Duran? Not Barrera - Morales type of war, but still very pleasant to watch fight with two exceptional fighters. The same can be said about Leonard - Hagler fight.

Chris Byrd vs Golota was also very, very good fight. And although Byrd sent Golota on the ropes with a straight left hand at the end of round 2, I think Golota was just off-balance in that episode

Marciano vs Charles 1, Charles started to fade a bit at the end but don't think he was actually stunned as far as being near KOd

Gonzalez vs Estrada I and II. IIRC neither fighter was badly hurt at any point in either fight.

in almost all of the examples given thus far a fighter was stunned, stunned doesn't mean nearly ko'd just shaken
best i can think of are mccullough vs zaragoza and jesus chavez vs carlos hernandez and maybe tapia vs ayala 1

    :D

i have to say, even at the time, though i was made up Leonard won, i've always found it a pretty dull fight.

Not sure but didn't Hagler briefly rock Ray, think it might be the ninth round.
Tbh I may be thinking of another fight but sure he did stun him.

    Yep.

You'd never think we would have the same perpetual debate years later. Hagler was removed from his best, undoubtedly - Leonard was removed from his best, undoubtedly - neither man's best performance, at the same time, brilliant achievement for Leonard, all things considered. Bombastic sideye at the Petronelli-Hagler strategic execution.
