Surfing Youtube, found this intro for Tyson vs. Holmes. Funny how Buffer hadn't hit his stride yet.

(I'd inbed this but can't get it to work.)

Funny you mention that. On ESPN2 they just showed Buffer introducing Tyson against John Alderson and he was even more green then in then in the clip you just posted. This was in 1985.

That is a green Cortez as well.... He was bald even then. Makes you wonder if he ever had a full head of hair.

I actually have some Hagler DVDs with Buffer on them from the mid-80s.

    Who can forget:

That's funny. I think prime Buffer was 94-96. He was sensational for fights during the time, including ODLH vs. Chavez I, Jones vs. Toney and other solid bouts.

Ha, they showed him saying it when he introduced Tyson literally 5 minutes later in a different fight then the one I mentioned.

I thought that was prime vintage Buffer.. The fight prior to the Holmes fight (Biggs) was better...

Buffer was more genuine back then.. I think he lets his RRRRRRRRRumbles go too long now.. Like he has to justify his wage or something...
