Sorry, meant the Chavez idea.Dont like a Kessler fight for the reason you said, and would rather wait till ones got a world title for Groves/Degale 2.

Ideal scenario would be Degale getting the WBC and Groves gets the WBO and a unification fight happens. This could possibly happen late next year, early 2015.

Why would Eddie Hearn not want to sign Groves? Is there any reason why that couldn't happen? Popularity has skyrocketed and looks as though there is likely to be a good few big money fights out there in the future considering his age, potentially 5/6 years of big fights if he keeps improving. Maybe Ward eventually, in the shorter term DeGale rematch, Chavez or Golovkin if they move up etc. There should be a queue of promoters at the door of George Groves.

Hope Groves gets a big fight if Froch disgraces himself and ducks a rematch, the guy fought out of his skin.

Put him in with Kessler and if he takes him out it's something else the casual fans will interpret as meaning he is a better fighter than Froch, even though Kessler is past it and sliding fast probably at this point.

Oh right. It probably would of been better for George to try push for a new deal or show willing but then again his managerial issues prior to fight were messy so it wouldn't of been appropriate as Eddie says.

    True. Seems fairly logical though.

The reason I said dirrell or bute was that I think these are both good winable fights that would introduce groves stateside . I reckon he has already had some good exposure on the world scene as a Froch is well known . I wouldnt object to seeing him fight anyone in the top ten right now with the exception of ward

A way to get under Frochs skin would be to stop Kessler

Clearly he wasn't happy with the way that Sky/Hearn favoured Froch in the buildup to the fight.

Groves needs to keep active and without a promoter that will prove trickier.

I think a few of frochs former opponents would both establish him and consolidate his reputation with the general public and as mentioned above get right under frochs skin. Would help to dent frochs ego and warrior reputation which would be deserved after the way he has been treated since the fight

Thing is about Groves he will have learnt not to let personal dislike get in the way of good buisness.

Im sure he didnt like Warden when he signed with him after the Degale fight but he knew that Warden could get him fights and tv exsposure on Boxnation and it worked as he picked up three impressive wins over smith sierra and johnson.

If eddie give groves the frochhe fight, he will sign another couple of fight deal, if not groves will shun eddie and never give him the satisfaction again.

    eddie is dodgy slimey KUNT,
