What were these guys thinking at the weekend. Fighting on a mjaor undercard they had a chance to shine with the world watching. 2 corpses infront of them and they both played it safe when almost any half decent shot they hit there opponent with put them in trouble.

Do they think Mike Tyson became boxings biggest earner by winning 10 round decisions over old men?

Guererro was probably too respectful of Casa but Linaires opponent, Juarez, has fought in very good company and never being stopped so a points win, while not Earth shattering, is a decent enough result.

****ing hell Rob, is there anything you dont whinge about?

What happened to Guerrero in the last round shows you why he'd have been stupid to go to crazy against Casa.

Maybe they could have done more but a loss for either would have set them back hugely.

Thats my whole point. it was just decent. they were just doing enough. Look at the Hype Pirog is getting for scoring a KO last week. its partly because it was a great performance, but its also down to the fact there were 3 other one sided fights on the card where the winners never really went for the stoppage.

If Guererreo has knocked out Casamayor in 3 rounds he would be getting hyped up right now, and fans would be clammering to see him again agaisnt mjaor names like Marquez.

the wins did nothing for them. Guererro was paid $75,000 and Linares $30,000....do you think after those performances there going to get a major fight and pay day?

You do know in a boxing match the other guy is also also trying to win or at the very least not get KO'd? Linares won't have turned up and thought "**** the stoppage, I'll go for a points win".....Juarez will have also been trying to make life difficult for Linares in order to remain concious.

No one as ever stopped Juarez, that Linares became the 30th fighter to be unable to do it is no big deal.

Well theres a better chance of it than opening up to much and getting knocked out. Casa is still capable as he showed in the last round.

You must start about 80 threads a day whinging, you've already moaned about the rematch that topped the bill, now moaned about Linares and Guerrero. Is there actually anything in boxing you like?

You come across as a 12 year old UFC fan determined to put boxing down at any opportunity. I know you're actually not but it seems all you get out of boxing is complete misery.

I could be wong but Did the commentators not say that was the 1st time juarez had been down?

Also read on the main page that casamayor is a good friend and mentor of guerreros,so while it was dissappointing if true it's understandable why he didn't fully commit for the ko.

at the moment it is. theres the rare decent fight being made. in general im just discusted at the behaviour of Haye and Arum but its boring talking about them so take it out on others.

in general i think if more boxing fans were like me and didnt accept bull ****, we would get less of it.

my whole point is linares and guererreo had an opportunity to make a name for themselves on the weekend and just blew it, there stock has not risen, if anything its fallen.

Guerrero could have stopped casa in the second or third burt he was way too safety first.
Linares I wouldnt be too worried about. Werent Juarezs last 2 HBO appearances a draw and a decision loss in world title fights? Dont think hes ever been stopped so a knockdown and a clear points win is pretty good imo

pretty good.....exactly what I mean. Its fine but its not going to get boxing fans talking about you and clammering to see you again. Pirog scored the KO and hes the new big thing. There talking about a fight with Martinez where he would get paid minimum 5x what he got or Jacobs.

Linares busted his right hand midway through the fight. It's hard enough to stop Juarez at the best of times let alone when you've only got your left.
