I heard about this too but what happens in sparring stays in sparring, don't know why Roberts trying brag about what he did there.

I heard he beat Manny's ass as well. I started to notice that after that sparring session, Guerrero started talking about how he wants Floyd. Did anyone else notice this?

The vid with John Garfield explained it pretty clear.

The jab becomes much more relevant with same-stance opponents. Manny likes to use his jab a lot more stiffly when fighting other southpaws. Here Robert has the longer reach and good control of distance so it's not so surprising that he was able to control Manny a bit better early on.

Kind of lame for Guerrero to be all "hey hey look! this guy saw me spar Manny! tell em tell em how good I was!" (not surprised if that is JG).

Having a moment of success in sparring doesn't mean anything.. i bet if you heard every sparring story you'd find out a lot of elite fighters struggled every now and then with lesser fighters. Thats why its just sparring , you have good and bad days. And from all the footage i've seen of pac sparring he fights in 1st gear most of the time, takes it easy on most of his sparring partners. The only important question is who would have won between Guerrero and Pac in a real match and we all know the answer to that.

It's common knowledge. Now, in a few days, he too will be able to speak to the difference between Manny and Floyd as everyone else that fights both does.
