Wasn't Guzman like ten pounds over the limit? Funeka had some serious stones to take that fight. I have to guess that Guzman deliberately weighed that much. One, two, even three pounds would be irresponsible but somewhat understandable. But I can't imagine a guy weighing ten pounds over the set limit only three or four years after he was a junior feather weight.

wait, wait.. as I recall, in the first fight Guzman weighed in WELL OVER the limit, yet Funeka agreed to fight him, then ended up being on the wrong end of one of the WORST decisions I've had the displeasure of seeing live. Second fight, Guzman edged him, and Funeka also failed the post-fight drug test.

Funeka outclassed Guzman in the first fight and got robbed. Guzman came in at 144 in the second fight, and didn't even try to lose any weight after the initial weigh-in. I think Funeka needed the payday, and Guzman had to pay something like 20% of his purse to Funeka for coming in heavy. Guzman had a huge weight advantage in the fight and it showed. Guzman is a disgrace as far as i'm concerned.
