Both at their best. This would be one great matchup, but Haggler is taking it. I'm sure many will point to Roys blazing speed and combos, but I say Hagglers ability to use angles, greatly superior chin and better punching power ends this fight in a dramatic KO fashion, with Jones sleeping it off on the canvas. The only way Roy wins is by decision, but I think there is a 90% chance Marvin pushes his $hi+ in. Haggler KO 5th.

Also, after Marvin gave him a world class beating, Roy could freestyle rap about Haggler being the greatest middleweight ever.

I think Roy would invite him on the inside Hagler would oblige. Roy would push his head down eat his body shots, evade anything up top, and flurry out of the corner and win an easy decision

Hagler simply walks through Jones, in exactly the way he walked through the harder punching Tommy Hearns. Hagler brutal KO - 2.

Jones 10-2 or 9-3 type decision. Way too quick for Hagler

Hagler ko 14 Jones. Hagler eventually cuts off the ring and batters Jones for a TKO

So over 12 you'd have it to Jones?

I think Jones would have a better chance if it was 12. I'll still go with Hagler by late stoppage.

Jones keeps Hagler on a leash for 15. And Jones does more damage to the body, also.

    Jones takes this.

    Bigger.

    More power.

Too much of a gap in speed, athleticism and unorthodox style.

    Wide UD.

I don't see Jones hurting Hagler in this fight, but Hagler could put a hurt on Jones. Hagler, late round KO.

Hagler KOd Hearns, in a 15 round fight, Hagler would have Jones staring at his eyelids Glen Johnson style..

The difference is Hagler had a chin. Jones didn't, and Hagler was overall the tougher man...

Hagler by Ko. It's the only way

nobody outboxes Roy Jones but he can be starched and Hagler is the ONLY one I've seen who not only has the will, but the power to do it

others may have the power, but they didn't have the will

but I've seen Hagler when pressed, too many times as I once noted to Manassa. Look at the Hearns fight when the ringside physician checked him out. ten seconds later, Hearns was being counted over courtesy of a brutal right hook (see that Bundiniblack?)

There's little comparison between 160 lb Hearns and 160 lb Jones.

And Jones' chin was just fine till he got nailed with a perfect shot from a man weighing almost 190 lbs, after weight-draining down from heavyweight, at an age where Hagler had been retired for two and a half years.
