I've been in boxing for awhile now and I wrap my hands differently than most people, not the correct way. I wrap the thread around my knuckles, palm and wrist;the whole hand, just not the spaces in between my fingers. Lately, after punching the heavy bag and punching gloves with another person, my fingers will start to hurt and I'll need to take a break and soothe it out. What could be causing this? Is it because I don't wrap the spaces in between my fingers?
If you've always wrapped it that way, and you've just started feeling pain lately, then you probably just injured it somehow (hit a hard spot on the bag, padding in gloves has worn out etc). A little thin piece of cloth between the spaces of your fingers wouldn't have prevented it.
Extactly, what happened to me, make sense, i didnt hand wrap properly because i was in a rush, and now its paining a bit when i throw hooks, and jabs sometimes but doesnt seem like i broke anything, and if i did brake it how badly would it hurt....?
when i wrap my hands i get an old wrap and cut it and make a padding for my knuckles and then i wrap my hands. My hand dont hurt nomore...
