I know Jones is faster, But I dont think its by very much at all. Even comparing Todays Joe to the Roy of yesteryears, I dont see a big difference. WHat are your opinions?
Hand speed and punch volume are two completely different things, and are not the same. Do not confuse the two. RJJ, by miles.
Put it this way. Prime Calzaghe is almost as fast as Prime Jones. But Prime Jones was punching to score, but to hurt you. Calzaghe punches to score, and thus has a bit of added speed there. If Jones only punched to score, like when he flicked his jab just to do so, there is a noticable difference in speed.
:good Only fighter I can say is DEFINATELY faster than Jones IMO is Meldrick Taylor. Everyone is either debatable...or no ****ing way. Calzaghe falls into the no ****ing way category.
