Turns out it wasn't within the rules. Haney literally broke the rules when he weighed in 165 on fight night.
First off shout out to The Exodus Files on YouTube even though I have never heard of y'all until now. lol. Great investigative work and piecing together some major pieces to a puzzle that appears to be far from incomplete. This is my takeaway. #1. Devin Haney has been suspected of illegal weight gain tactics for his last 7 fights. #2. Exactly 7 fights prior is when Devin Haney hooked up with Victor Conte and started a private program under the SNAC brand which Victor Conte started and owns. #3. Victor Conte is known as the "Master of Steroids" and has been involved in several major court cases involving athletes from the NFL, MLB, Track and Field and combat sports like UFC and Boxing. Conte was convicted of illegal practices involving scientific methods of making PED's untraceable in drug tests and splicing compounds with PED's and purposely lacing supplements with steroids. Suspect Also Victor Conte is the founder of VADA and has been caught before with workers within VADA working for him unofficially. High Suspect #4. Recently when asked about Ryan Garcia's positive test Victor Conte said this " I don't care if someone breaks into your hotel room and spikes your toothpaste that's your problem." Me personally this statement really stood out and seemed very specific and a premeditated action. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS BIZAAR #5. Shawn Haney Devin's brother posted just 3 days after the fight he knew Ryan was going to pissed positive. This means that the whole world knew Ryan allegedly pisses positive 11 days after the fight on May 1st when the results came back but Shawn Haney knew only 3 days after the fight. This is suspect. #6. Kim Sumbler who was the head of the New York Athletic Commission issued and signed the letter from VADA to Ryan Garcia saying Ryan pisses positive. Then suddenly Kim Sumbler resigned, lawyered up and refuses to comment on this matter. This is also suspect. NOW FOR THE OBVIOUS #7 Ryan Garcia goes under rigorous drug testing leading all the way up to the fight then pisses positive out of nowhere the night of the fight and day after. Very suspect. Anyway this is my takeaway from the documentary with a dash of my little 2 cents. Thoughts?
How many people have you ever known in your life that were scumbags (Conte) that changed their ways and became good honest people? Yeah, that's what I thought. Haney has as much credibility as Garcia. IDGAF either way because this situation works out well for me. Both end up looking bad.
Conte is 74 years old. He has already been convicted. Another conviction and he would spend the rest of his life behind bars. At 74 years old he isn’t risking what little time he has left .
Um, most positive tests in boxing tend to happen right before the fight. Both times Jarrell Miller popped was a week or slightly more, before the fights. It´s pretty much the excuse that everyone uses before getting busted: "I passed all of the previous tests so I could not have cheated."

Conte had an in-house chemist named Patrick Arnold make new, more potent AAS. I think he even designed an undetectable super tren derivative that was 5x more potent than anything that’s ever existed. Barry Bonds was on it when he hit 73.
