In the Khan-Maidana fight, commentators repeatedly referred to Maidana as the hardest punching 140lber in the game as thought it were an irrefutable fact.

Who do you guys think is the hardest puncher at 140?

Gee...why would they do a thing like that? ...:hey Definitely possible though, of course.

 definitely know why they do it, and it's certainly a possibility. I just wonder how close the fans think it is? Matthysse seems to have some major power, but I've only seen a little bit of him. Ortiz has some serious power in spite of his other flaws and you can say the same for Holt.

With Bailey moved up to 147, it pretty clearly IS Maidana.

Its a 3 way tie between maidana, holt, and bailey. But I think the quality in opposition has something to do with it. Holt hurt bradley and maidana had khan out on his feet. Im still hoping somebody hears me out on having a tournament with nothing but ko artists. Maidana, bailey, holt, and rios its going to look like wwIII. By the way I pick maidana

    Off that list, it's

    1) Matthysse
    2) Maidana

    3) Holt

    4) Ortiz

Judah and Khan are probably somewhere around Holt and Ortiz, if we are including them.

The important thing is that there's a huge power gap after the two Argentinians.

I'd say Holt. I compared Torres-Cotto and his encounters with Ricardo.

Maidana can hit too. Maybe Maidana hits as hard or harder than Holt. Holt vs Maidana sounds good.

Kendall would be destroyed! It would be Rated X!

Power isn't the only thing to take into account. That would turn out lopsided, due to styles & temperaments.

Maidana could very easily get floored early - especially if both start fast...but eventually he just breaks his man down and eats his soul.

Agree, as far as a pure styles standpoint, Holt should not fight Maidana. Holt, though gifted with some serious pop doesn't let his hands go and has the shaky chin. Not a good combination.

I think Ortiz hits just as hard/harder than any hard hitter.

Gotta be Holt. If he had balls, chin and just let his hands go, he would rule 140. But he's the Rocky Juarez of the division.
