i know there has been alot of people who are just dismissing audley harrisons chance in this fight and maybe that is right. BUT i've seen quotes from harrison saying that they had sparred quite a bit as amateurs and he had david's number. it could be a load of crap but if audley really has a belief he can beat haye then this fight could plan out very different. audley has good skills but never looks confident enough to use them to his advantage. if he can then david haye could be in for a horrible night. am i reading too much into this or does anybody else believe audley harrison could pull it off??
harrison would say that and when they were england team mates Haye was a 17 year old light heavy harrison a 27 year old super heavy.
i know it will probably be crap but i know when i boxed if i had a bout against someone i had previously sparred with my belief was much better and felt better about my own abilities. i just think it is possible and we shouldn't write him off
I hope Audley pulls off the upset. For whatever reasons, he's failed to live up to his potential but I hope he can find the strength to take advantage of this chance and finally achieve his dream. People say Audley Harrison fights with no passion, that he doesn't care but here's the thing. By not fulfilling his potential, Audley Harrison has lost out on adulation and millions and millions of pounds. Even if we say for arguements sake that Harrison doesn't care about the sport and is only doing it for the money, there is no fighter on this planet who would not feel hurt at losing out on millions. There is no fighter on this planet who would not feel down by the setbacks Audley Harrison has experienced. Audley Harrison obviously has certain issues that he's struggled to deal with. He fights scared, he loses to guys he should be beating easily. Why? I don't know but he's still here, still going, and still putting himself in situations where he feels uncomfortable. Hopefully he will have one of those rare, life changing moments before or during this fight where something clicks and he just feels like "**** it, this is my opportunity of a lifetime and whatever happens, I'm gonna enjoy it"
I cannot believe Audley Harrison is going to fight for a world title... The lame thing is other than the klit fight I don't think any others are going to sell anywhere near as well such is the state of the heavyweight division...
Like i have said before i cant see Harrison beating Haye and the likleyhood of him doing it is slim, although all it takes is a lucky punch and Haye could be gone, (similar to the sprott fight) but alll in all, Haye KO's Harrsion within 3. G
