it has nothing to do with disrespecting sportsmanship or anything fark i think itz great when two fighterz can hug after a tough fight and share some mutual respect. thatz all find and dandy i just personally hate the glove tap at the start because i find it throwz off the FLOW of the FIGHT go watch couture and some guy named grahem in the first few couture fightz and watch randy come out of his corner at this fast walk then excellerate into a run and take this dudez legz out right off the mark thatz why i hate freakin glove tapz tap before u go back to your corner ffs i say the ref should have a bull whip and enforce it without mercy
i agree.. all this being a nice guy or the fans wont like you stuff is stupid. BEAT THE GUYS FACE IN!!
lmfao that actually waznt my point whatsoever as i waz specifically referring to the glove tap right after the REF sayz FIGHT. i personally like the good sportsmanship. im saying do it nicely at the point the ref finishez the rulez then go to your corner and come out and fight. after a round freakin start making out if you think it will help i dont care. i have just seen too many timez one guy getz really zoned into getting off to a fast start and then realizez he cant until he tapz the other guyz freakin glove. i just find it a FLOW breaker and feel itz a little stupid.
lol one particular boxer i was watching not too long ago raised his hand for a tap and the other guy just stared at him, left him hanging. wish i had a video of it. it was embarrassing and very unnecessary. i agree, taps in the middle of a fight are gay. the hugs and kisses should happen after a fight.
I could not agree more. You tap gloves at the end of the referee's instruction. And you can hug it out all you want at the end of the fight to show your opponent respect. But when the fight has actually started, let's have the fighter go straight into fighting. There's been at least a couple of great KO's where a guy came right at another guy at the start of the fight and landed a fight ending punch.
The glove tap works as long as both guys back off close to their original position, but even then it wastes 5 or so seconds.
Yea I'm a big fan of touching gloves at the break of instructions but its getting ridiculous at the start of every round of every fight.
