I think you answered your own question there. But there are loads of good trainers, ex fighters and tv people around to cobble up a good team.

Lead commentator is tricky if Rawling is locked down to an exclusive contract with Boxnation.

Hatton is big enough (no pun) to secure an ITV deal. Lets hope it happens.

Hatton was the Chavs God,..."Walking in a Hatton wonderland" He's a spent force and keeping in mind the drugs debacle should never be allowed back

Imagine if they gave him a 10pm Sat night slot - after X Factor ( :hi Colin ). The numbers would be ridic!

Seriously 7/8 million is not out of the question!

Makes you wonder what the Mayweather fight would've got if it was on ITV primetime.

2230hrs would be the earliest because of American TV.

Would it be shown live if it was a routine warmup? I'm not so sure.

Half ten would still do massive numbers though

Up against MOTD and Football League show.
Some of the core audience potentially watching BBC1.

Unless viewer are more likely to record MOTD, but Boxing would have to start first. 10 o'clock would be right but they aren't going to move the 10 o'clock news for Boxing.
Someone mentioned it earlier the ITV4 uncared prior to switching to the main event at 10:30ish might be the winning solution. :think

If they were to have a Saturday night show that stated at about 22:30, they should run exciting trailers and adverts during the evening so that the programs with the largest audiences can promote whats coming up.

Hopefully this would intrigue/interest/excite enough people to stay on the channel rather than switching over.

Its amazing how many casual fans will actually watch boxing when its on terrestrial, it shows that it is still a sport that appeals to the masses, its not that people have fallen out of love with the sport IMO, its that due to Satellite dominance they just don't get the same opportunities.

I think if ITV could get some big names back on a Saturday night the figures would really speak for themselves, you only have to look at what Channel 5 gets to see that, the figures at that time on a Saturday night are not big on any particular show (apart form the football maybe) but I think there is definitely room for something else to come along and take up the non-football fans.

With a name like Hatton attached, a genuine household name that has transcended the sport, it could be a huge success.

Hatton would still get a fight deal with Sky Box Office if he faced Malignaggi

On Epix yes- the American public do seem to like Ricky as his fights are typically all action. If he changed his style I doubt the Americans would be that interested.

Probably more. Didn't Fury-Chisora get 5 mil on Channel 5? The likes of Benn and Eubank used to pull in 10million+ on a Saturday night. . .
