Sheesh... Hatton does not fight worse at 147 than he does at 140. He comes into the ring at the same weight fighting in both weight classes. If anything he should be stronger at 147 since he doesn't have to cut as much weight. Why do people keep saying he's worse at 147? Floyd would have knocked him out at 140 or 147, Luis Collazo would have given him problems if he was at 140 as well. It has nothing to do with Hatton's weight, its who he's fighting. And Cotto would murder him at either weight class.
hattons will has been broken just like cottos, hatton aint the same fighter the jury is still out on cotto, prior to mayweather this mightve been quite an interesting fight seen as cotto almost immediately runs soon as somebody starts comming at him like he did against sugar shane, also hattons probably slightly faster but not as powerful but then again is more accurate, hatton pre mayweather vs cotto pre margo would have been a close war between to come forward fighters and I cant see hatton even thinking about going backwards where as cotto sometimes seems as though his mentallity is "if you wont i will"
hatton would probably lose at 147 but would win at 140. hattons only loss is against #1 p4p at a higher weight. cottos loss is after quitting against at the time a top25 p4p fighter. all these posts ko within 4 etc are stupid. hatton gets underrated as usual and cotto is still being overrated.
Cotto never ran from Mosley,Hatton is not faster than Cotto and the Hatton that fought Mayweather would've taken the same beatdown that he would now.

tHe Cotto that faught against Margo would DESTROY Hatton within 4-5 rds easy @ 147,not even close!! Now @ 140 i give Ricky a bit more of a chance but Cotto would still outbox and outslug the Manchester idol. Cotto wins 7rd tko.
Didn't state that he wouldn't, but people are ripping into Hatton for losing to Floyd. Pavlik would brutalise Margo, so what - Hatton is not a 147 fighter just as Margo is not a middle weight. At 140 Hatton would be in with a chance against Cotto, he has beaten better at 140 - Cotto couldn't get Pauli out of there. Hatton is a very decent fighter at 140, Cotto doesn't totally murder him like people make out - it's at least a fight.
