Not if he has half a brain left after getting destroyed by Floyd. Hatton should never go over 140.

Thats a tuff one buddy there both young, big punchers i would favor Cotto because hes the bigger perhaps a little stronger then Hatton,Cotto would probably take him down late.

I hope they both win their upcoming bouts and this fight gets made!

I'll go with Cotto by brutal KO, however an exciting fight!

i'd rather hatton just made his legacy at 140 secure first against the likes of witter and malfaggi.

Hatton is a fool if he tries to fight Cotto. He would be retired, or at least, never the same again.

Ricky Hatton is not a WW.

Has the makings of a great fight but I fear that Cotto is a little too big for Hatton but I feel that Hatton is the better boxer.

Are you f'kin serious? Hatton is the worst 'boxer' at world level around right now. Cotto takes away everything Hatton has, Ricky should go back to 140 where he has the strength advantage, which is central to his style.

Hatton would rip right through Cotto at 140. I am not impressed with Hatton at 147, because he doesn't have to get himself into that amazing shape in order to make weight. He looked sluggish, and a lot slower when he fought Collazo at 147.

I will have to see how he looks against Mayweather. If he learns to just train his ass off, and come into the ring a bit lighter... then I think he would still beat Cotto at 147. However, if he comes in sluggish, and way too heavy... then Cotto would have the chance to break him down over the course of the fight.

I think Cotto would kill Hatton at 147. I think Hatton will stay at 147 and make his money. Even if he goes back to 140 there are no guarantee that he'll beat Paulie or Witter to be honest their style is the worst thing Hatton can see and he will lose to them. Hatton is going to stay at 147 and make his money.

What Hatton gives away at 147 is height and reach. Against fighters like Williams and Collazo he will always struggle. Against shorter fighters like Cotto he may be in with a decent shout but as I said before, Cotto is one strong ******* at 147.
