I know Hatton is a World Champ and Ward was never really elite. Ward was tough as nails. He is very hard to stop. Could Ward hurt Hatton to the body? I'm sure he could. Hatton will slug with Ward all day as well. Could be one interesting fight.

Micky could hurt almost anyone to the body provided he hit them in the exact right spot.

Problem is, Ward is basically inferior in every other way to Hatton (and the left hook to the body is debatable as well).

If Hatton gets hurt to the body like he did versus Urango, he could outbox Ward from the outside, or use stink tactics.

    Either way, Ricky wins.

no way Hatton would win a slugfest with Mickey Ward who has more power in both hands...Hatton would win by using his faster hands and feet to outland Ward, but he can't go toughman with Mickey Ward...Judah had more pop than Hatton at 140, and he never even thought about standing in with Ward....

Hatton 10 times out of 10. Hatton is a truly elite fighter. Ward was very good.

Ward is the type of opponent that Hatton could easily school by boxing and picking his spots to be aggressive, the same way he did against Ben Tackie. Hatton would win a wide UD

I think I might pick Matthew Hatton over Mickey Ward. OK, not really. Ward's chances of beating Hatton would be worse than Hatton's chances of beating Mayweather, which is to say less than zero.

Hatton would ridicule Ward. Ward has neither the talent, tools or smarts that Hatton does. Hatton would win 12-0.

I dont know about that bro....

Ward was a damn good (not great, but) fighter in his prime. Hatton has fought tons of lesser fighters than Ward and not won 12-0. That is just rubbish.

Well if Hatton uses his regular style, i can see Ward winning. Bo way he can brawl with Ward. Not many can either. But he can easily outbox him.

    :good

Gatti looked a class above Ward and what happened to Gatti every time he stepped up to face an elite????

This shouldn't even be debatable....Hatton by Ownage :bbb
