Witter switch hit from a southpaw stance with a lovely right hook. We know what happened when Hatton faced southpaw right hooks

For some reason i always fancied witter to beat hatton. Too many smarts for him. Cant see hom KOing hatton, but winning handily enough UD

I always felt that Hatton and/or his management never fancied this one - I reckon they felt that when Ricky did get knocked off, it would have to be financially worthwhile. The Mayweather fight was obviously financially worthwhile - Witter, who was not a ticketseller - was not.

I feel Witter is all wrong for the Hitman. Witter wins for me, from 2001 onwards - the lieliest result for me is that Witter busts Ricky up, but is ahead on points and on top when the cuts get too bad.

i believe that like the collazo and Mcgee fights hatton would have a pretty tough bout with witter as well.the hatton camp would understand that hatton has to get through witters mine field defense of unorthodox counters, but wonse inside hatton would own witter and out work and him.witter has shown that he loses heart and ideas if he is not succesful, look at the kotelnik and the morua fight,he didnt look so hot.i see hatton having some early anxious moments but end up out working witter on the inside and winning a clear cut 8-4 in rounds victory.

in fairness the comparison of collazo is off a bit in so far as collazo is a naturally bigger man who was also a good boxing slick south paw......but i can definitly see witter being a major league threat...and it makes sense that the hatton people wouldnt take such a fight in which the upside would be small and the downside great.

i tink he would of been a massive threat to hatton because of out smarting him but i think ricky wud of eventually of got inside and worked well to win a close UD

Witter woulda been dangerous for Hatton for the first 6 rounds. But if Ricky's still around and coming forward after that, Witter mentally falls apart and starts runnin for dear life.
