Why would you take stick for that? Personally, I think it is a very reasoned and well thought out piece. You raise a number of valid points, not least that Hatton is slightly past his best and that regardless, he just doesnt quite have what it takes to kix it with the very top p4p elite.

This is not to say that Hatton was not an excellent fighterin his day. He was a top 10 p4per and the best light welter in the world. I honestly think that a fight against Bradley, Katsidis or Khan would still see Hatton as the victor.

Hopefully when the dust settles some persepective will be put on his career. He boxed like a moron agaisnt pacman and was made to look a fool but he was, overall, a bloody good fighter.

To be honest, mate, I thought the article was pretty good. Not exactly ground-breaking stuff, but pretty good - you made some good points. Maybe a few commas could have been added here and there.

I don't think he could main event in the US any longer, but in England he still appears to be a star.Take a farewell fight against a b level fighter and pack it in.With his money,he can drink beer all day long and still have some left over for his new promotional company.

I'm not a Hatton fan but I also do not think he should give it up.

As for anyone laughing at the outcome of the fight, I respect any man who steps in the ring, especially at the level Pacman and Hatton fight at. Hatton goes up against the P4P king and gets KOed and you think it is a joke? People have died in this sport.

Grow up, mature, and get a life.

I say they make an offer to Bradley.
See what happens, The #2 slot in the 140lbs is still open.

Katsidis in Manchester would be a good fight for him. I believeh Hatton has it in him still to win this.

Yeah sorry about that. I wrote when my boss was walking in and out of my office at work. I was surprised it went up to be honest. I sent it off without proofing it, by accident, and thought oh ****!

Hatton's fans need to understand his chin has been shattered for good.
The man can't hold ANY quality shot anymore .
Duran was pole axed by Hearns and cameback; but Duran was known for being very hard to hit and had good defense; you couldn't touch him in training.
Ricky doesn't even grasp the fundamentals of the game, and absorbed a LOT of punches during his sparring ; the chin resistance is gone, and he doesn't have the style to avoid punishment.
    Only one way to go.
