When did it start to go?

I remember after the Lazcano fight I was saying how he was finished and his punch resistance was shot to ****. The fight with Malignaggi gave us no clues really as to whether it was still there or not because Paulie couldn't break an egg with his feather fists.

Pacquiao is a freak of nature but Hatton took some big bombs off Tszyu and walked right through them. I'm sure that version of Hatton could have lasted a few more rounds on Saturday night. I don't think he ever properly recovered from that fight with Tszyu and the Collazo fight.

I really hope he retires now. I honestly believe if the circus fight with Khan happened then he would get stopped which would be an embarrasment.

There have been a few threads like this already but I think Saturday's loss was mainly to do with him being totally outclassed.

  3. I not sure when it went. but his chin has gone so yes he should retire

I agree he was outclassed but I'm sure Hatton of 4 years ago would have lasted longer before being stopped.

Tszyu fight did most of the damange. Probably some from Urango aswell, maybe Maussa aswell. I don't think we saw it tested against Castillo but was surprised he got hurt so easily against Mayweather. Then in trouble against Lazcano, buzzed by a Malignaggi right hand in round 5 and destroyed by Pacman.

He never had much of a chin to begin with, he was decked by Magee and rocked badly by ancient Phillips back then.....he spent years fighting powder puff lightweights. Infact the only argument you can make to say that his chin is any better than suspect is the Tszyu fight....but he hardly got caught clean due to the smothering and fouling in that fight.
All the evidence points to him having a dodgy chin at best, at worst proper china.
