I'd hate to defend the guy, but I don't think he was thinking race when he made the comparison between Haye and Pres. Obama. I think the comparison he was making is about someone who makes a bunch of promises, then does not keep his promises. It's not always about race.
In fact he is the racist for thinking first about their skin colour and after that about their characters
Joking aside, Harrison has absolutely no part what so ever in the heavyweight picture at the moment. He thought about the race first and the character second, in your opinion In my humble opinion it was a metaphor for a person, who doesn´t keep his promises. Well I wonder who´s right. But since he stated, it wasn´t about race I intend to believe him. He choose the current president, because Obama does have that image right now in some media. Not saying the image is correct. But calling the op a racist is a bit overhastly. No offense!
I'm in the same position. I've no problem with the direction Haye has taken to this point but now's the time to step it up.

Both men were supposed to be game changers and some would argue they didn't change anything. Any who, it depends on what his intent in that comment was.
Agreed. These 4 need to start fighting one another. IMO Haye and Povetkin are the holdouts and seem to be making this process difficult.
I'm a "brit" who cheered on Haye when he fought Maccarinelli in his last fight at Cruiserweight. I believed Haye when he said he wanted to add excitement to the Heavyweight division and unify the titles. Thus far,his promises have as much reality as a desert mirage. After goading them into a fight,he pulled out of fighting both Klitchkos. In his fights at Heavyweight,he has displayed a lack of stamina,a lack of combination punching,poor defense and has looked "ragged" at times. I believed in David Haye when he proclaimed his "coming" as the "new messiah" but now prefer to watch the much less vocal but much more active and focused Adamek. Exactly. I´m not a Haye hater, but I don´t wanna be fooled by him. Or with the words of G.W.Bush. "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
