sarcastic? Or you think Hopkins is high-risk/no rewatrd? It's an 'Event' though isn't it? And there's always the thought that B-Hop could execute one of his perfect gameplans. I think it would probably get slaughtered by most fans/insiders/wannabee pundits, but I also think Haye's quickness and power would see him be the first man to stop Hopkins. Hopkins is all mouth anyway. Just trying to keep his name out there and send a message to Roy Jones that he's supremely confident of beating him. So much so he is looking on to a really dangerous fight.
I'd never bet against Hopkins. No matter how insane and unwinnable the match-up may sound. It is Bernard Hopkins, after all.
A whopping 70% in favour of a Haye knockout. How did i know I'd find a complete lack of objectivity in this thread? The only thing working against Hopkins in this fight is age. David Haye is not a techincally sound boxer and there's no way he KO's Bernard. You guys realy think Hop stands there and lets Haye whack him on the chin like Valuev did? Please. The guy's rarely been stunned in 20 years and has some of the most complete defense/jamming skills in recent history. If anything Haye will be doing the chicken dance in the later rounds as Hopkins systematically picks him apart. Boxing history says I have every right to say this.
Your username has never been more apt. Hopkins age is the only thing working against him in this fight? How about height, reach, weight, power and more than likely speed too.
:good I can't believe that Haye (Serious damage to credibility) or Bernard (Serious risk of severe injury) would actually want this fight to happen. No matter how much Hopkins "Mouths off" he aint looking for this fight and even if he did, I believe that Haye cares too much about his reputation to seriously consider this bout!
David Haye would be to big and far to strong for Hopkins, Stoppage in about 8 rounds after a one sided beaten.
:good This could easily be another fight where an all-time great takes a beating at the hands of a younger, stronger, more explosive, more powerful, hard punching, hungry world class fighter and I for one don't enjoy watching legends get hurt because they had one fight too many!! Bernard's unquestionable heart and granite chin just earn him a bigger beating in this fight!
Hayes 6′ 3″........... Hopkins is 6′ 1″ Basically all Hayes got over him is a bigger punch.. Hopkins WILL definitely loose !!
