Speed kills but skills tortue the opponent up to the death. Haye has both.

Seriously though, it's a quality match up. He's always been looking for a former champ and fighting a top 10 ranked fighter is great. One more after that and Wlad can't run no more. The next fight has to be against a tall guy though. People will want to believe Haye can beat a 6'4"+ 235lbs+ fighter. They will believe if Haye beats someone big.

The question is can Haye beat Vitali? Vitali will beat Peter on October, will David Haye fight Vitali in the Spring?

I like this as a potential bout for Haye.

Its a big enough name for it to be TV worthy (ex champ and all), Maskaev was never brilliant in his prime and so shouldnt really be a big threat now that he is coming to the end of his career, but he's still dangerous enough to keep Haye on his toes.

Problem is though that it appears Haye is at his best when there's an element of risk, I can see him blowing Maskaev away in 3.

Having said that though, I'm gonna go down the o2 from Liverpool to watch it with a few of the boys so if anyone fancies an ESB get together then let me know and we'll meet you for a pint before hand.

Its a good match-up for his step up to HW proper.

    Haye KO 4/5

I think that taking Boxrec's word for certain has proved hopeless in the past.

If Vitali wasn't so Inactive and was still champ he would destroy Haye, he was better than Wlad and had a granite chin.

Vitali's not coming back though and It would be a pointless fight now.
