Anyone brought the new David Haye magazine? The first issue came out recently for a staggering £9.99, just wondered if it was any good. Cheers in advance for any feedback.

the mrs bought me it, its a pretty decent read with Haye himself doing some of the interviews with Khan, Froch, St. Pierre, Groves and Linford Christie.

some behind the scenes info on the fights with Valuev, Enzo and Mormeck and pictures etc.

I bought it in WH Smiths the other day - but purely because I am a ****** and will buy anything.

Its got some good photos of him but it you are looking to hear or see something new then this isnt the product for you.

High on style - low on substance.

Do not give that **** anymore of your money until he comes good on a big fight. The Adamek fight is acceptable but as a champ with 4 HW fights, he should be unifying. That is the career path we bought into when he fought these guys.

£9.99 for a magazine, what the ****, do we get his ring card girls as a gift or some ****!

The problem with David is he seems to have a glib sense of entitlement. Fair enough he needs to make money out of boxing. But dont take the **** put of your fans. He has one fight takes the rest of the year off and then spends it milking the cud. Completely unacceptable in my eyes.

He's a champ with ONE successful defence behind him, its not often a title is unified in those circumstances.

I'm sorry some of you guys got fooled by Haye but FFS try and get over it, see the reality of the situation and stop whinging like Homecoming Queens who have been stood up on prom night.

    Come on now GazOC.

You gotta admit Haye is a ****.

He is meant to be retiring before he enters his "31st year"

That gives him barely 18 months from now !!!

And he is pissing about - inactive - and milking fans for all the money with shite like this Magazine -

Sky Box Office - the last twice - at least he is fighting then.

Apperances fees for nice but nothing chats on the likes of loose women and jonathan ross.

And "Dinner with the champ evenings" with Haye while he looks bored and plays on his mobile and just alll he is interested in is the £30,000 cheque at the end of the evening.

Thing is GazOC - in your book it seems acceptable to screw fans - to play the game and con people out of money.

The only reason I say that is because your defence of haye reminds me of your defence of Hatton when he was screwing the working class man for his bottom dollar while just talking **** and fighting bums.

Scurla bang on the money again. :bowdown

He is milking things worse than Hatton - a commerical sell out.

His sense of entitlement goes hand in hand with his "screw everyone I just want my cheque" attitutde.

I remeber Frank Warren saying when Haye was slleping for the final press conference V Maccarinelli that Haye has a strange mentaility where he feels no duty to contribute to the promotion despite Warren paying him a fortune.

I understand that buying the magazine gets you a top 20 rating with the WBA.

Il give Hatton his dues. He fought often mainly because Warren knew he had a short shelf life. That said you get to make money in this game by fighting.
Before David even finished turning pro he was already saying he wanted out of boxing by around his 30th birthday. Thats not a guy who has any hunger. If he's not interested then go and model. But dont con the fans who have made him wealthy.
He's had MANY opportunitys in this sport and frankly he's earnt very few of them.
