Flint, Bottom line here mate: David Haye bullshitted to boxing fans to try and get a quick shot at the heavyweight title, now he has a belt to earn off he doesn't need to fight the Klits right away. The people who fell for it are pissed off. Thats all there is to it it. Just ****ing admit you got conned by Haye and move on instead of continually banging on about what Haye SAID be was going to do when he was a Cruiserweight trying to blag a HW title shot. Yes It does seems that when a guy sets a certain "ideal" young age of getting out of boxing - then he has a mentality that is more about what he can get out of the sport with the least punhsiment rather than what he can give the sport. I think setting age limits is a bit too rigid. Why not just fight - and let your career run its course - and then you will kind of sense when you have accomplished and given it your best - it is time to go - just like Joe Calzaghe did. Haye has lots to prove at heavyweight. And this guy - is clearly NOT confident of fighting at heavyweight - I am sure of it. He was even talking about how it would really hurt him if he lost to Ruiz. He is too inactive and too selective - I think he enjoys not fighting now to be honest - champion boxing status just seems the thing that keeps him in the limelight and keeps his earning potential.
Which shosws he is not really confident of fighting Klit. But why not say - **** it - I will fight Klit. I might get knocked out. Then again - he might win - by KO - and then he would be a unified NO 1 Superstar. He is not willing to take the risk. Its like he is being managed by Frank Warren now !!!! Haye is a false prophet. Herbie Hide fought Vitali Klitshko. lennox Lewis fought Vitali Klitshhko. If Lewis or Tyson or bowe or Holyfield were in their prime today - they would not duck the Klitshckos. Haye is a fraud - in the heavyweight elite sense. He has no confidence in his chin at heavyweight - I am sure of it.

Thats because his earning potential would have halved. Davids not a heavy and he knows it. He's just a cruiser who cant be asked to do his roadwork and wants the big money at heavy.
I agree Flint. I'm not saying Haye is right for whats he's doing, I'm just saying how it is. He's not sure he can beat Wlad and in the meantime he's got a nice little earner defending the WBA belt. I don't think we're disagreeing on much here.....:bbb
Yeah fair play. I recall you saying Haye was on a "smash and grab mission" Which is disappointing because Haye isnt really taking the heavyweights seriously. He is just got a cunning plan to get what he can and get out ASAP. He may never want to fight a Klitshcko - even if he was in the last fight of his career. he may just want to save his pretty face and turn down th big cheque not to face the beatdown and humilation of it. And after his mouth - he would get some serious abuse when Vitali laid him out.
And there was me thinking it was for the fans disappointment he was concerned for - the honour and glory and pride.

I didnt post on here then. I didnt even know this site exosted then. I started posting on here just after the Haye V Maccarinelli mega fight. Haye beat up Enzo inside 2 rounds. Then he promised to move up to the heavyweight division and set it on fire. He got a belt - but he still hasnt fought a Klitshcko. I agree - he aint hungry. Its easy to say your hungry when you are relatively poor. But what about when you suddenly got £5 or £6 or even £8 million in the bank. And your making £50,000 just for appearing on Jonthan Ross. Magazine sales bring in more cash. Dinner shows bring in more expenable cash. Merchandise. **** me - his autobiography be out next. Now he is rich - he is acting like all rich guys do Its like that saying - its hard to wake up in silk pajmaes and do your roadwork out in the cold and rain early in the morning. haye is in the clubs - relaxing on his villa - flying around the world. he never has to fight again and he is ok for money. he is doomed as a fighter. The Klits are much more professional - kept their detemrnation and hunger and discipline. Haye has always been more of a Playboy.
Haye fought at the Playboy mansion once. He reminds me alot of a young John Conteh. Both were "playboys". And Haye used to post here about 5 or 6 years ago.
