Is this the same Katsidis who got outboxed by Juan Diaz? Just because he came across as a decent guy after beating a career SFW doesnt make him all of a sudden a brilliant boxer.

It doesn't look good being outboxed by Juan Diaz does it, lol. In fairness to katsidis though he looks to have made a lot of improvements since then. He's not as reckless and is probabily at his prime. Marquez is almost 40 years old, is a small lightweight and for a technician has never been hard to hit. We can easily say Marquez was hurt by Diaz who is a pillow puncher, gives you more room to get off your counters and hasn't got the physicality of Katsidis, so you see it works both ways.

Diaz was still a handful then though. Plus his jab's always been a good, underused weapon. And he beat Michael by keeping him turning on the inside and giving him no leverage.

It was a good performance. Diaz is getting a little under-rated now. But he beat some very good names before the loss to Campbell.

Yep, Diaz was thought of as a bit of a beast at one time, which people forget.

Unless JMM has aged this is a "levels" fight. Kats is a value for money fighter but this is JMMs to lose.

Kats trainer was awful in the corner for the Diaz fight :patsch

Since then Kats has looked good against Escobedo, Mitchell and Chavez. That said, I'd be pleasantly surprised if he beats JMM.

Yep, Brendon Smith I think he's called. He's Kats manager as well and they seem quite close.

He's a really nice guy from what I've heard. Really cares about his fighter. His advice against Diaz was bizarre. As soon the fourth Michael was losing wide, and he was totally calm.

Imagine looking to stay close and out-work a volume-puncher with faster hands than you? Stupid, really.

But Michael did better when he went to the body and got some distance.

Kerry Davis made the AntonioTarver-Chad Boreson rematch!

Agreed Berto's purse esp in comparison to Katsidas is a joke!

Thought I'd bump this thread for anyone who thought Andre Berto's near million dollar purse was fair. Compare that to what Jason Litzau got as well and it's even more of a joke!

Berto's purse is ridiculous, he got something like $2.5m when he beat Quintana and only sold 900 tickets, HBO need to come to their senses
