Well, I'm certainly no novice and I definitely get annoyed when the commentator is babbling, isn't making sense or is clearly biased. There's just a LOT less of that on Showtime.

I'll definitely agree that 24/7 is better than All Access.

Hey guys. Sorry to bring up an old post but I saw no sense creating a separate post. I'm getting back into the sport - big time. I was a casual fan in the mid to late 80's and very early 90's. I'm one of those guys who likes to dive head first and learn as much as possible as fast as possible.

My question is - if I could only get one of the two networks - HBO or Showtime....which would you recommend (and why)?

HBO has the better fighters (Pacquiao, Kovalev, Golovkin, Cotto, Martinez)

    Roy is better than Paulie
    Jim is better than Mauro

    however

    Bernstein is better than Kellerman
    Kenney is better than Lederman/Weisfeld

If HBO got rid of Kellerman and replaced him with a top boxing trainer (Garcia, Richardson) it would be perfect.

I'd get Showtime. They have a bigger stable of fighters, better commentary and better overall cards. Just this summer you'll have Guerrero, Russel vs Lomachenko and Alexander vs Soto Karass on the card.

Then Canelo vs Lara will be this summer as well as Shawn Porter vs Kell Brook

I'm not that concerned about the production or a particular fighter (I don't think). I just want to see good fights.

What are the quality of the fights like between the two? I know HBO have the better fighters but who has the better match ups?

I can't remember the exact words right off but he has made white man remarks in the past along side Bernard Hopkins his fighter

Psssh.. It was several articles on fight hype if I remember correctly

Plus Bernard is been a known racist for decades and them two are like brothers

That **** been boring since Mayweather left HBO. No one wants to watch Jinkee Pacquiao hosting bible studies.
