They wanna show Taylor vs Wright instead of Taylor vs Froch for the WBC Super Middleweight Title. Do HBO not understand that 3 of the 5 most talked about fighters in the world are currently British. Calzaghe, Haye and Hatton.

Wright is a name in the USA, Froch isn't. HBO are a USA TV company.

I'd rather see Taylor get his brains beat in by Kessler.

Or Kessler-Froch with the winner to fight Taylor.

Any fighter can be marketed to generate interest, HBO are just lazy. Kessler could be huge in the US, if anyone actually bothered to market the guy.

Just goes to show that American tv influence is a bad thing. surely a world title fight is the next thing for Taylor, he must have some ambition to be the champion of the world, fighting fellow Americans in non title 10 rounders is going to get boring real quick.

What are HBO going to do wait til Kessler, Froch, Bute or Inkin lose to an American before letting Taylor have a shot? Ridiculous.

It should be Taylor v Froch as the mandatory and then Froch v Kessler to unify the titles not the other way around.

It makes it sound like Kessler and Froch have to face off for the privilege of facing Taylor! Give me a ****ing break!

HBO are a disgrace - they just keep digging up the same old fighters.

    Jones vs Trinidad
    Mayorga vs Mosley

    WTF?

Kessler and Froch would hand Taylor his ass - people want to see good fighters in good fghts, not the same old faces.

    It's a ratings thing.

They're missing out on a potentially great fight because of it but let's be real here, HBO don't care about great fights at the moment - with the economy the way it is, they just need to make and save as much as possible.

So they're going to prefer to show American fighters as much as possible.

They don't mind showing Kessler vs. Taylor? Heh, then show Kessler vs Froch first you morons.
Or a better idea: how about Froch and Taylor tell HBO to go to hell and take their business to Showtime instead, with the winner fighting Kessler? Then in the meantime Kessler could fight Bute - Or if HBO want Kessler to pay his dues, they could put HIM up with Wright.

HBO really doesn't want to attract loyal boxing fans does it?

Winky Wright is so boring to watch. Froch will make it a war. Kessler would make it a war.
