If after the much debated rematch between the two legends Leonard had agreed to a rubber match how would this have gone? Leonard would only have one more win after this so was he ready for a big loss at the hands of the hit man? Or could sugar have pulled it out one more time for a decisive victory. Very hard to call. Could well be another close and controversial decision but out of the two of them,I could see a stoppage coming from Leonard. More durable than Thomas in spite of Ray being the one who was knocked down.
Hard to tell with leonard at that point stevie, he was one fight away from the norris loss. He beat Duran easy but got cut in the process. Hearns went on for a few more years and didn't do bad so a rematch could have shown us what leonard had left. But like u say hard to say

Leonard at that point in time was eyeing retirement up and not sure how he would have been focusing on hearns. Hearns would have gone in with the intention of ko ing sugar this time. It could have turned out to be a big shocker , even a hearns ko.

Leonard vs Hearns 2 was a tough fight and aged SRL . After Duran SRL was hammered by Norris. Hearns was still dangerous and in 91 defeated Virgil Hill for LHW title. If there was a 3rd fight and it would be similar result to Camacho fight. Hearns by tko in 6 rounds.
I firmly believe Hearn's weathered better the SRL and would have dealt him a stoppage around round 8.
